Open Access Policy
Journal of Experimental Pharmacology and Toxicology (JEPT) is a fully open access journal. All articles are freely available to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search and link to the full text immediately upon publication, without embargo, subscription or registration, in line with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of open access.

License
All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Anyone may share and adapt the material for any purpose, including commercial use, provided the original work is properly cited.

Copyright
Authors retain the copyright of their articles without restrictions. By submitting, authors grant JEPT the right to publish the article as the original publisher under the CC BY 4.0 license.

Article Processing Charges
JEPT does not charge any fees: there are no submission, processing, page, colour or publication charges. All publication costs are covered by the „Victor Babeș” University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Timișoara, Romania.

Peer Review Process
All research articles, reviews and case reports are subject to double-blind peer review by at least two independent expert reviewers, external to the authors’ institutions. Manuscripts are first screened by the editorial office for scope, quality and similarity; the final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief or the handling editor based on the reviewers’ reports. Editors and editorial board members who submit their own manuscripts are excluded from handling them; such manuscripts are handled by another editor. Received, accepted and published dates are displayed on each article.

Publication Ethics
JEPT follows the ICMJE Recommendations and the Core Practices and guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Cases of suspected misconduct (fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, duplicate publication, authorship disputes, undisclosed conflicts of interest) are handled according to the COPE flowcharts.

Plagiarism Policy
All submitted manuscripts are checked for similarity with similarity-detection software before peer review. Manuscripts with substantial overlap with previously published work, or with evidence of plagiarism or self-plagiarism, are rejected.

Use of Artificial Intelligence
AI tools cannot be listed as authors. Authors must disclose the use of generative AI tools (other than basic grammar and spelling correction) in the Methods or Acknowledgements section, stating the tool and how it was used, and remain fully responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the content. Reviewers and editors must not upload manuscripts or any part of them into generative AI tools.

Conflicts of Interest
Authors, reviewers and editors must disclose any financial, personal or professional relationships that could influence their work. Authors must include a Conflicts of Interest statement in the manuscript.

Corrections and Retractions
Errors identified after publication are corrected through a published correction notice linked to the original article. Articles may be retracted in cases of serious error or misconduct, following COPE retraction guidelines; retracted articles remain available and are clearly marked as retracted.

Appeals and Complaints
Authors may appeal an editorial decision by sending a reasoned request to the Editor-in-Chief within 30 days of the decision. Complaints regarding the journal’s processes are handled by the Editors-in-Chief following COPE guidance.

Self-Archiving Policy
Authors are permitted to deposit all versions of their paper (submitted, accepted and published version) in any institutional or subject repository or on personal websites, without embargo, with acknowledgement of the original publication in JEPT and a link to the published article.
